Somerset County Garden Club will have membership meetings and/or activities every month of the year with the exception of January, July, and August.  
No meeting will be held in those months.

Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland

The Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization, comprised of 81 garden clubs with approximately 3000 members divided into five districts located throughout the state, from the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay to the mountains of Western Maryland.

The FGCMD is in the Central Atlantic Region of the National Garden Clubs, a nonprofit educational organization headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. 

 

Their mission is to provide support, leadership and education for garden clubs and the public about best practices for horticulture, conservation, and landscape design. We encourage the protection of our natural resources; endeavor to create civic beauty, to work for the improvement and protection of roadsides and parks, and award scholarships to further these goals.

Central Atlantic Region of Garden Clubs

The Central Atlantic Region of State Garden Clubs, Inc., known as CAR-SGC, is a non-profit corporation that was formed in October 2016 to succeed the unincorporated Central Atlantic Region of National Garden Clubs (NGC). The previous regional organization was established in May 1929 by Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Ohio. Pennsylvania joined in 1931, followed by National Capital Area in 1954 and Delaware in 1958. 

The CAR-SCGCentral Atlantic Region of State Garden Clubs supports the mission of National Garden Clubs, Inc. to provide education, scholarships, and Region networking opportunities for its members to promote the love of gardening, floral design, and civic and environmental responsibility.
